Carrot Codes
新  A code editor that predicts your next keystroke - and stays out of your way. Ghost text appears at the caret. Tab accepts it. Tab again jumps to the next likely edit. No menus, no lag, no bloat.

Carrot is local-first and genuinely lightweight. It opens instantly, works fully offline, and lazy-loads everything else. Your workspace follows you across web, macOS, iPhone, and iPad - pick up exactly where you left off.

* Bring your own AI key (OpenAI, Anthropic, or a local Ollama model) and prediction is free. Your code and your keys stay yours: cloud keys are never synced between devices, and Ollama runs entirely on your machine.

Auto language detection - TS, JS, JSON, Python, Rust, Go, Java, C++, PHP, SQL, YAML, HTML, CSS, Markdown and more, from filename and contents. Code-symbol key bar — brackets, arrows, and semicolons one tap above the keyboard. Live Markdown - edit source with a formatting toolbar, see the rendered preview. Real-time collaboration - share a file by link, see live cursors and presence, grant read or write access. Version history — rewind any file to an earlier state Local-first and private — works offline, bring your own key, free to use this way. Workspace sync — web, Mac, iPhone, iPad, with optional GitHub backup.
* Designed for mobile, not shrunk to fit. Bottom tabs for Files, Editor, Changes, and Sync. Accept predictions from the thumb zone, swipe to stage or discard in the diff view - and every gesture has a visible menu fallback. Nothing is hidden.
* JetBrains Mono for code, a friendly hand-drawn UI, dark and light themes, and a single warm carrot accent.
