QUICK AND SIMPLE CONNECTION
1. Connect your phone or tablet and TV to the same Wi-Fi network.
2. Open Sony TV Remote Control and search for available devices.
3. Select your TV from the device list.
4. Accept the connection or pairing request displayed on the TV.
5. Start using your phone as a smart TV remote.
If you previously declined the connection request, open your TV’s network or remote-device settings and allow the mobile device to connect. Menu names and pairing steps may differ depending on your TV model and software version.
COMPATIBILITY
Sony TV Remote Control is designed to work with many compatible Sony smart TVs and network-enabled models, including selected BRAVIA, XBR, KD, and KDL series.
Available controls and connection methods depend on the specific TV model, region, network configuration, and firmware version. Some older or unsupported models may not provide every feature.
For the most reliable connection:
• Keep both devices connected to the same local Wi-Fi network
• Make sure network remote control is enabled on your TV
• Disable VPN services temporarily if device discovery is unavailable
• Restart the app, TV, or Wi-Fi router if the connection is interrupted
IMPORTANT
A compatible network-connected TV is required. This app does not use an infrared transmitter and may not support TVs that cannot receive remote commands through Wi-Fi.
