Data Control is a core user-enabled local app firewall in Datameter. It lets you pick any installed app, block mobile or Wi-Fi data for that app, and automatically block apps after they cross a data limit or every new app when it is installed.
Datameter is built for clarity. It uses Android Usage Access and network statistics on your device to show data usage. Data Control uses Android VPN Service on your phone to measure and block app traffic based on rules you choose. Allowed traffic is forwarded to the destination the app requests, not through Datameter servers.
Datameter does not require an account and does not upload your usage details or installed-app list to a server.
