Kuvaus
SecureMe Watch, your data breach checker
With SecureMe Protect, we check the email addresses of each person on your plan who agrees, up to three each, against newly reported data breaches every day, while the app is closed. If one turns up, you get an alert that gives nothing away on your lock screen. Open the app to see which breach it was, what was taken, and which password to change first. Watch keeps going as long as the app is opened at least once every 45 days, and we remind you before it stops. Breach data from Have I Been Pwned.
Check before you act
Check a suspicious text, email or link. Before you pay a firm, check who you are dealing with on the FCA's register and its recent warnings, at Companies House, and in the website's registration. When a checker cannot tell, it says so instead of guessing.
If a scam gets through
A step-by-step guide that starts with the urgent things: hang up, then call 159 to reach your own bank's fraud team. Where to report it, including Police Scotland if you live in Scotland. A place to record what happened and every call about your claim. Your rights to reimbursement after a bank transfer scam, or if you paid by card. Letters to your bank and the Financial Ombudsman, prepared for you to send yourself, with reminders of the deadlines. The guidance, the numbers and the checklist are free and always will be.
If your details have been exposed, the identity exposure kit guides you to your three free statutory credit reports and to Cifas Protective Registration, which Cifas charges for.
Your security check-up
A score out of 100 from six areas: data breaches, passwords, your phone's settings, two-step login, social media privacy, and your phone number. Answers you give yourself can only take an area to "Good", and old answers stop counting, so the score stays honest. An action plan tells you what to fix first. There is also a password generator and an encrypted vault for recovery codes.
For the whole family
One household plan covers up to six people, whatever network each of you is on. Each person joins from their own phone, or you can keep a profile for them on yours if they do not use a smartphone. Adults see each other's overall score, never the detail behind it, and anyone can stop sharing theirs. Your family's scores are encrypted with a key we cannot use.
Digital Estate: a list of your accounts, so the people you trust can find them. It is not a legal will and decides nothing about who inherits what.
What we do not do
We are not antivirus. We do not scan for malware, we are not a VPN, and we do not block calls or texts. We do not report crimes, contact your bank or make claims for you, and we never predict the outcome. No service knows about every breach, so "nothing found" is not proof that nothing happened.
Privacy
No adverts, no third-party tracking, and no commission from anything we recommend. Under Settings, then Privacy, the app lists everything that can leave your phone and who receives it.
Prices
The app is free to download. Without a plan, the check-up, the tools and the guidance are free, each email address gets one breach check, and you can keep profiles for up to six people on your own phone. SecureMe Watch comes with SecureMe Protect: £4.99 a year or 59p a month for one person, £19.99 a year or £2.49 a month for up to six people, or £21.99 a year or £2.69 a month for up to ten. Every plan includes the breach response pack and the identity exposure kit. Plans renew automatically until you cancel in your store account settings, and you keep the plan until the end of the period you have paid for.
