In 2008, the "International Roguelike Development Conference" defined the "Berlin Criteria" of various elements that a Roguelike game should have.
Berlin Principle: A roguelike game must have the following main elements:

1.Randomly generated environment: The game environment should be randomly generated, and the locations of monsters, props and other environmental elements should also be randomly generated. (Monster props are random)
2.Permadeath: The game world will be completely reset after the player's character dies. (You can be resurrected once after death, and the progress of the cleared level will be retained)
3.Turn-based: As the name suggests, the game will not progress automatically when the player does not operate the character. (In real-time mode, you can consume physical energy to clear the level on idle, but the idle strategy is relatively simple. If you need to challenge the highest level, manual operation is still recommended)
4.Map exploration: Players need to obtain special props and more resources by exploring new areas on the map (the implicit meaning is that standing still cannot continue the game or requires consuming resources, and new areas will not appear in the explored areas.
