Beschreibung
Les migrants subissent de nombreuses violations, telles que la discrimination, l'exploitation et la marginalisation, et vivent souvent dans la clandestinité. Ils sont victimes de violences extrêmes, de torture et de traitements inhumains, tant dans leur pays d'origine que pendant leur migration. Ils craignent de porter plainte et ne reçoivent pas un soutien adéquat.
En Tunisie, qui est désormais un pays de résidence pour les migrants d'Afrique subsaharienne, un nombre important de migrants en situation irrégulière travaillent de manière précaire dans divers secteurs (cafés, restaurants, gardiennage, construction, agriculture saisonnière et aide domestique). Cette situation fragile permet aux employeurs de les exploiter sans encourir de coûts significatifs, tandis que cette réalité est souvent présentée comme une chance d’intégration sociale pour les migrants sans statut légal.
Avant même la crise actuelle, les migrants faisaient face à des conditions difficiles dues à leur statut illégal et à des pratiques racistes violentes. Le manque d'informations sur leurs droits et la précarité de leur situation ont aggravé leur crise. La pandémie de Covid-19 a déstabilisé la vie fragile des réfugiés, demandeurs d'asile, migrants et apatrides. Malgré les actions des organisations de droits de l'homme et des initiatives civiles, les efforts restent insuffisants pour protéger ces groupes vulnérables qui souffrent d'exclusion sociale et de pauvreté, sans ressources pour survivre pendant la pandémie. Leur situation administrative complique davantage leurs conditions de vie.
L'application Migrights fournira des informations actualisées aux réfugiés, demandeurs d'asile, migrants et apatrides, pour améliorer leur situation, les protéger des violations et répondre à leurs besoins essentiels. Elle surveillera les violations et soutiendra la protection des droits. Son rôle ne se limite pas à collecter des informations : elle identifiera et enquêtera sur les violations, diagnostiquera leurs causes, proposera des solutions et des moyens de soutien pour garantir l’accès de ces groupes à leurs droits, selon les normes des droits humains.
En tant qu’outil de plaidoyer, Migrights vise à induire un changement positif pour les migrants, réfugiés et demandeurs d’asile, et à défendre et protéger leurs droits. Elle aspire à susciter un changement en faveur de ces groupes vulnérables, que ce soit au niveau des politiques, des lois, des programmes ou des projets.
