Nagish is a free app for people with hearing loss that provides real-time captions on phone calls and in-person conversations.
■ With Nagish, people who are deaf or hard of hearing can now engage in private phone calls and access call transcripts for free, eliminating the need for interpreters, deaf translators, stenographers, or captioning assistants.

FEDERAL LAW PROHIBITS ANYONE BUT REGISTERED USERS WITH HEARING LOSS FROM USING INTERNET PROTOCOL (IP) CAPTIONED TELEPHONES WITH THE CAPTIONS TURNED ON. There is a cost for each minute of captions generated, paid from a federally administered fund.
