Why Background Location is Essential
The app requires background location access for safety-critical functionality. Specifically:
During an active alarm, background location ensures that the app continues to function even if the user locks their phone or switches to another app. This ensures
uninterrupted tracking of the user’s location until the alarm is resolved, providing real-time updates to the group about the user’s status.
When no alarm is active, the app does not track or collect location data. Background location is only activated in emergency scenarios to enhance user safety.
