The ADF Transition Guide App is a free Department of Defence app that supports ADF personnel, Defence families, friends and support persons to navigate the transition from service life to a life as a civilian.
Developed by the Joint Transition Authority, the app brings together transition resources from across Defence and partner organisations into a convenient pocket guide. It supports users to make informed decisions, identify support networks, plan and prepare for civilian life, whatever their circumstances.
SUPPORT
The ADF Transition Guide helps ADF personnel and families to prepare for transition in service, in transition and into civilian life by:
• Helping you to identify and understand your transition needs
• Connecting you with the right transition supports and services to fit your transition needs
• Helping you to map out your transition journey.
FEATURES
• Easy search functions help you to tailor your research
• Interactive checklists to track important tasks as progress through your transition journey
• Push notifications to keep up to date with key events in your journey and upcoming Transition Seminars.
• Videos help you to understand the support programs and services available
• Convenient links to supports and services delivered by Defence transition partners: Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation and Services Australia.
