Boom is a rocket launch tracker built specifically for people living near Vandenberg Space Force Base, Cape Canaveral, and Kennedy Space Center. If you've ever been startled by the double boom of a SpaceX Falcon 9 landing, this app is for you.
Get personalized alerts before sonic booms based on your exact location, so you'll know when to expect those window-rattling sounds.
LOCATION-BASED BOOM PREDICTIONS
The app calculates how loud the sonic boom will be at your specific location. You'll see predictions like "Very Loud," "Clearly Audible," "Faint," or "Too Far to Hear" based on your distance from the landing zone.
Weather matters too. The app analyzes real-time conditions like wind direction, temperature, and atmospheric pressure to give you accurate loudness predictions with decibel estimates.
SMART LAUNCH NOTIFICATIONS
Set up custom alerts for upcoming launches. Choose to be notified 1 day before, 1 hour before, or 30 minutes before launch time.
You can filter notifications to only alert you about launches that will produce sonic booms, and choose which launch sites you care about. No more notifications about launches happening across the country that you won't hear.
COMPREHENSIVE LAUNCH INFORMATION
Every launch includes detailed information: rocket type, payload, mission description, launch pad, and live countdown timers. The timeline view shows you exactly where we are in the launch sequence.
Browse past launches to see historical mission data, or check upcoming launches for the next month. The app automatically updates when launch times change, so you're always working with current information.
WHO IS THIS APP FOR?
If you live near Vandenberg in California or anywhere along Florida's Space Coast, you know the sound. That distinctive double boom when a Falcon 9 booster comes back and lands. It shakes windows, sets off car alarms, and startles anyone who doesn't know it's coming.

LAUNCH SITES COVERED
The app tracks launches from Vandenberg Space Force Base, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, and Kennedy Space Center. This includes SpaceX Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy missions, United Launch Alliance rockets, NASA missions, and other commercial launches.
PRIVACY AND DATA
