The Chachapoya, known as "the warriors of the clouds," inhabited the Peruvian Andes region between the 8th and 15th centuries AD. This civilization built impressive stone citadels, mausoleums, and anthropomorphic sarcophagi called "purumachos" and funeral chambers in the middle of cliffs, in the archaeological sites of Kuélap, Karajía, Laguna de los Cóndores, Revash, Tingorbamba, Diablo Wasi, and La Petaca, which you can now explore in detail with Chacha XR.
Discover hanging tombs in inaccessible cliffs, fly over cloud forests where the mist blends with the vegetation as if you were a condor, or explore the impressive funerary architecture of the Chachapoya on rocky walls, rappelling down a rope into the abyss as if you were a spelunker.
