The 'Crop Forecasting' app, developed by the IT section of the National Agriculture Information and Communication Centre (NAICC), a part of the Department of Agriculture (DOA), is designed to provide crucial information to farmers. This app delivers Early Warning Messages specifically for vegetable farmers, offering insights on Price Predictions and Crop Selection.

Key features include:

Crop Forecast Information: Receive up-to-date recommendations on cultivation extent.

Real-time Updates: Track the cultivated area within the last two weeks.
Balance Extent: Monitor the remaining cultivation potential.

Recommendations & Duration: Get expert recommendations with duration estimates to guide farm management decisions.

Technically, the app fetches data via APIs from the backend system hosted at crpfbackend.naicc.doa.gov.lk, where information is regularly updated. The backend enables efficient data management, ensuring farmers access timely and accurate crop forecast information directly through the app.

Empowering farmers across diverse agro-ecological regions, this app optimizes decision-making for crop management, enhancing productivity and sustainability.
