Aplikasi ini memuat augmented reality tumbuhan berkhasiat obat yaitu Keciwer atau Kencur, bakteri penyebab sakit perut yaitu E. coli, dan simulasi daya antibakteri kencur dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri E.coli.
Aplikasi ini mendukung kajian ilmiah tumbuhan berkhasiat obat pada mata kuliah etnobotani berdasarkan kearifan suku Karo di Kecamatan Kuala, Kabupaten Langkat, Sumatera Utara yang memanfaatkan kencur sebagai obat sakit perut. Selain itu, aplikasi ini dikembangkan berdasarkan penelitian daya antibakteri kencur dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri E. coli yang dilakukan oleh tim peneliti di Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Universitas Negeri Malang.
Aplikasi Augmented Reality ini sudah dinyatakan valid oleh Validator Ahli Pembelajaran, Ahli Media dan Bahan Ajar, Ahli Etnobotani, dan Praktisi (Dosen Etnobotani di Universitas Negeri Medan). Aplikasi juga sudah dinyatakan praktis oleh mahasiswa yang telah menempuh mata kuliah Etnobotani. Saat ini, aplikasi sedang tahap implementasi pada mata kuliah Etnobotani di Universitas Negeri Medan. Mohon bantuan Ananda sekalian untuk memberikan saran dan masukannya.
