Kotlin was created by JetBrains firm in 2010.
Kotlin was announced at the JVM Language Summit event on July 19, 2011.
Kotlin is a static programming language.
Kotlin is an open source project developed under the Apache 2.0 license, open to support and assistance.

Kotlin's first development was made by the software developers of JetBrains, a company based in Russia. Kotlin's name comes from the island of Kotlin in Russia.
1) Kotlin is a free, open source code programming language developed statically under the Apache 2.0 license. You can support the Kotlin language and contribute to the development of Kotlin.
2) Kotlin is an object oriented functional language. It is an object oriented programming language like Java, C # and C ++.
3) Perl and Unix / Linux supports adding to the shell script style string.
4) Kotlin is shorter and more specific than Java. The most important feature that pleases and attracts programmers is that it is simple and unique.
5) Kotlin works 100% compatible with Java and Android. With Java, Kotlin can be thought of as half an apple.
6) Kotlin is a more secure language than Java. So what does this security mean? Null data, which has been used in object-oriented programs since 1965 and caused billions of dollars in damages, was treated more securely with Kotlin and prevented from damaging the system. You have to make a special effort to get Null error in Kotlin :)
7. It supports the development of server and client based web applications.
8. It is compiled into JavaScript codes and used in HTML pages.

On 7 May 2019, Google announced that the Kotlin programming language is now its preferred language for Android app developers. As a result many developers have switched to Kotlin Since the release of Android Studio 3.0 in October 2017, Kotlin has been included as an alternative to the standard Java compiler. The Android Kotlin compiler targets Java 6 by default, but lets the programmer choose to target Java 8 up to 13, for optimization or more features.
