The Noble Quran القرآن الكريم was revealed through revelation to the Messenger of God Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, for clarification and miracles over a period of 23 years after reaching the age of forty until his death in the year 11 AH / 632 AD. The Noble Quran القرآن الكريم is preserved in the chests and lines of every touch or distortion, and the last of the heavenly books after the Books of Abraham, the Psalms, the Torah and the Injeel. The Holy Quran القرآن الكريم was meticulously preserved by the Companions after the death of the Prophet Muhammad. The Holy Quran القرآن الكريم was compiled into a single Mushaf by order of the first successor Abu Bakr al-Siddiq according to a suggestion by the Companion Umar ibn al-Khattab.
After the death of the second successor Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, that copy remained preserved by the Mother of the Believers, Hafsa bint Umar, until the third successor Uthman Ibn Affan saw the difference in the readings of Muslims due to their different dialects, so he asked Hafsa to allow him to use the Quran in her possession as the standard dialect. Several copies of the Mushaf to standardize the reading and the annihilation of what contradicts that of the Mushaf, and to distribute those copies to the regions, and he kept a copy of it for himself. These copies are known so far as the Ottoman Quran. Therefore, most scholars assert that the current copies of the Quran contain the same text copied from the original version compiled by Abu Bakr.
Muslims consider reciting the Noble Quran القرآن الكريم, listening to it, and acting upon it, all of which are acts of worship by which the Muslim draws close to God so that his heart may be reassured by it. The Holy Quran القرآن الكريم stipulates the rulings of beliefs, and it contains the rulings of worship such as fasting, zakat and Hajj, and it contains the rulings of transactions such as buying and selling, marriage, divorce and inheritance, and it contains the rulings of morals and ethics. The Noble Quran القرآن الكريم included the beautiful names and attributes of God and other stories of the previous prophets and people.
