Storyline:
The Mahabharata revolves around the Pandavas (five brothers: Yudhishthira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula, and Sahadeva) and their struggle for justice against their cousins, the Kauravas (Duryodhana and his 99 brothers). The conflict begins with a game of dice, leading to the Pandavas' exile and ultimately, the great war of Kurukshetra.
Structure:
The Mahabharata consists of 18 parvas (books), with approximately 100,000 shlokas (verses).

Adi Parva

The origins of the Mahabharata's narration, detailing the birth and early life of the Kuru princes, the rise of the Pandavas, and their noble deeds amidst emerging conspiracies.
