Mit einem Sprechfunksimulator unterstützt dich die App bei der Vorbereitung auf die praktischen Teile der Prüfungen zu den UKW-Funkzeugnissen. Das Interface des Simulators ist sehr einfach gestaltet: Vorgeschlagene Nachrichtenfragmente müssen von dir in die richtige Reihenfolge gebracht werden. So lernst du interaktiv den Aufbau von Not-, Dringlichkeits- und Sicherheitsmeldung, Weiterleitungen, Bestätigungen, Routineverkehr, etc. Dabei ist jeder Durchgang anders – die Kennungen der beteiligten Funkstellen, Positionen, usw. werden jedes Mal neu generiert. Die App enthält auch einen vereinfachten DSC-Simulator. Dieser bietet zwar keine originalgetreue Simulation der Prüfungsgräte, vermittelt dir aber einen ersten Eindruck von der Handhabung moderner Seefunkgeräte.
Auch bei der Vorbereitung auf die theoretische Prüfung hilft die Schiffsfunk-App. Der integrierte Theorie-Trainer beinhaltet die Fragen für die deutschen Funkzeugnisse SRC, LRC und UBI (inkl. Anpassungs- und Ergänzungsprüfung). Falsch beantwortete Fragen können gesondert wiederholt werden und auch eine Prüfungssimulation mit zufälligen Fragen und einer Zeitbegrenzung ist möglich!
Darüber hinaus hilft die App beim Aufbau eines Wortschatzes zur Kommunikation in Seefahrtenglisch. Dazu steht ein Vokabeltrainer zur Verfügung, der über 100 Seefahrt-Begriffe umfasst. Auch die englischen Seefunktexte sind inklusive Übersetzungen und Diktatfunktion in der App enthalten. Hast du noch Probleme mit dem Buchstabieren? Mit der App kannst du auch das Buchstabieralphabet lernen! Sie verfügt dazu über ein eigenes Quiz.
