Description
Gerel application is an AI and fintech based product of “Gerel finance NBFI” LLC and it offers online loan. “Gerel finance NBFI” LLC is established in May of 2014 and received the non-banking financial service license under the Decree No 101/468 of Financial Regulatory Commission of Mongolia on 22th of April, 2015.
Since its establishment, it has been continuously operating microcredit in Mongolia.
Gerel application provides following services under Mongolian laws and regulations:

Registering on the app:
• Verification of phone number
• National Identification Number
• First and last name
Privacy Policy
We strictly adheres with the local regulations and laws of Mongolia. In addition, we keep the confidentiality of private information at high secured place. We are compliant with the Anti-Money Laundering Commission as well as National Data Privacy Commission. We also aim to introduce ISO/IEC 27001:2013 - Information security management systems in our organization in 2022. Gerel is only available in Mongolia.
How to get loan?
Once the customer download the application from App Store and register by using valid information, his/her credit scoring is evaluated based on our AI system and Centralized Loan Database of the Bank of Mongolia. This prevents the customers from receiving multiple loans, which may result in the failure of repayment. Once the customer’s credit scoring is completed and the Loan Agreement is signed by the parties, the customer will be able to receive loan anytime to his/her bank account without any additional criteria.
For example:
Loan amount: MNT 50,000 – MNT 3,000,000
Service fee: 0 MNT
APR: 0% - 34.8%
Credit line period: Minimum repayment period is 3 months while the maximum repayment period is 24 months.
How to repay the loan?
The customer can repay the loan anytime. Our system informs the customers regarding the repayment due date via SMS message, email, notification on the Gerel App and a phone call from our customer service. The customers can repay the loan directly from local banks applications as well as from local bank branches and ATMs. When the customers make repayments on time, they are able to increase loan amount, reduce fees and collect bonus points.
What is a bonus point?
Customers are able to collect bonus points through the following ways and use it for maximize their loan amount and reduce the rate:
1. Repay the loan on time +50
2. Read daily news +15
3. Others
Example for a 90-day loan with principal amount 100,000MNT
Loan amount : 100,000 MNT
Equal repayment: 35,290 MNT
Interest rate: 2.9%
Interest : 5,290 MNT
Total Amount Payable: 105,871 MNT
