Waldlabor
In Zürich entsteht das erste Waldlabor der Schweiz. Verfolgen sie die Entwicklung des Waldlabors und seiner Angebote. Es ist in der Schweiz einzigartig. Die App begleitet Sie beim Besuch des Waldlabors.

Das Waldlabor zeigt und erforscht den vom Menschen beeinflussten und gepflegten Wald: Den Kulturwald. Die Geschichte des Kulturwaldes begann mit dem Fällen des ersten Baumes.

Auf dem Hönggerberg entsteht auf einer Fläche von 1.5 Quadratkilometern ein Freilicht-Labor mit historischen, aktuellen und zukünftigen Formen der Waldbewirtschaftung. Auch die Leistungen des Waldes für den Menschen werden thematisiert: z.B. die Kühlleistung, die Speicherung von Treibhausgas oder das Waldbaden. Das Waldlabor hat einen Zeithorizont von 100 Jahren.

Das Waldlabor ist gleichzeitig Lern-, Erlebnis- und Forschungsort. Für Schülerinnen und Studenten entsteht so ein Klassenzimmer im Freien, für Familien ein erlebnisreicher Wald, für Profis ein Forschungsort.

Trotz der Nutzung des Waldes als Waldlabor, bleibt die Funktion als Erholungsraum gewahrt.
