Worried your child spends too much time glued to a screen? Ploj [ploi] offers a smart, positive solution. This app helps children and parents build a healthy balance between physical activity and screen time – in a simple, motivating way.
Ploj links screen time to movement: the more your child moves, the more screen time they earn. So your phone or tablet becomes like a wind-up toy — physical activity winds it up, to earn screen time, that can then be used.
Parents can also send challenges or prompts to their child – alternative ways for kids to earn screen time through specific tasks or activities.
# Not Just Parental Control
The core purpose of Ploj is not to be a strict parental control tool. Instead, it’s designed to build good habits and encourage self-regulation, helping families establish a positive relationship with technology from an early age.

- Screen time linked to physical activity: X minutes of physical activity = Y minutes of screen time made available (where Y can easily be adjusted, it can be 1:1 or 1:2, 4:1 etc.)
- Challenges & prompts: parents can send tasks or challenges so children earn screen time in creative ways
- Block selected apps: Ploj uses Android’s AccessibilityService API to block selected apps and help parents and children manage screen time effectively
- Gamification: makes screen use itself a game – screen time is earned through movement or challenges
- Activity tracking and statistics: easy overview of activity and screen time
Child empowerment: kids can monitor and “earn” their own screen time
