Club de Fútbol Pachuca is a football club based in the city of Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico. He has six national and six international titles in his record. It currently participates in the First Division of Mexico, in which it has remained since 1998. It was founded on November 1, 1892. It plays its home matches at the Hidalgo Stadium.
Pachuca has won the Mexican league six times and the Concacaf Champions League five times. In 2006 they won the Copa Sudamericana, being the only team in the world to win an official tournament endorsed by FIFA outside their confederation. It is the team with the most soccer schools in Mexico. It is the first Mexican club to have participated four times in the FIFA Club World Cup. In 2017 he obtained third place in the FIFA Club World Cup,
early years
The first club, antecedent to the current one, was created by English miners under the name of Pachuca Football Club and has existed at least since November 1, 1892. That day a football match was held at the "Hacienda de Campo", property of Frank Rule.
The Hidalgo team and the Orizaba Athletic Club, Reforma Athletic Club, British Club and México Cricket Club came together to found the Liga Mexicana de Football Amateur Association in 1902,
After 1920, the mining company went into crisis due to the effects of the Mexican Revolution, which is why several players moved to Mexico City in search of opportunities, thus disintegrating the club.14 Exactly 31 years passed until, due to the creation of the Second Division of Mexico in 1950, the Pachuca A.C. team was founded.
Professionalism
In 1950 it was one of the seven founding teams of the Second Division, however it disappeared for the second time at the end of the 1951-52 campaign. In 1960 with the initiative of a group of fans, and supported by Mr. Germán Corona del Rosal, the current Pachuca Football Club franchise was permanently founded.
For the 1966-1967 season they obtained the Second Division Championship, led by Ernesto Candía they defeated Ciudad Victoria 2-0 in Pachuca, with which they beat Laguna by two points and secured the general leadership, the title and consequently rose to first division.
In 1972-1973 came a decline and with three coaches first Renato Rufo, Hugo Cheix and finally Jesús del Muro could not do anything to prevent relegation, so he faced the league for non-relegation along with Laguna, Torreón and Zacatepec, the Tuzos did not They could win none of the 4 games, so on June 23, 1973 they were officially relegated to the Second Division.
Second and third ascent
The next achievement came until the 1991-92 season, the penalties were disputed, winning Pachuca 11-10 at the Revolución stadium, thus, after 19 years, they returned to the first division.

In the 1995-1996 season, he again managed to be the general leader, thus returning to the first division on May 26, 1996.
