The Beacon mobile app requires pairing with the Beacon Emergency Dispatch Platform, a cloud-based emergency dispatching software that alerts, coordinates and tracks emergency responders on any mobile device. In order to activate the mobile app and receive incident alerts, mobile app users must first have their phone numbers registered in an Agency Account on the Beacon Emergency Dispatch platform. ABOUT BEACON
Beacon is a dispatch platform for emergency and crisis response agencies that need better communications.
Designed by Trek Medics International, Beacon makes emergency dispatch possible anywhere there’s a mobile phone signal by relaying requests for emergency assistance to the nearest responders — with or without internet on any mobile phone. Beacon works as a cloud-based emergency coordinating system that allows both automated and manual dispatching by guiding responders to quickly locate, treat, and transport persons needing critical assistance.
The Beacon mobile app improves upon the Beacon SMS interface by providing an upgraded experience for smartphone users, including:
