# Features
## Focus timer ("The Watcher")
Based on the Parkinson's Law and Pomodoro technique, the Watcher shows a full-screen countdown timer to generate the urge to complete a task. Every activity generates a timer visible via the Watcher and background notification, so you don't have to open the app to stay productive.
Parkinson's Law states that one will always prolong a task to use all the time available before a deadline. Trick your mind into tightening those deadlines and forcing yourself to use the minimum amount of time to complete an activity.
## Timeline
Our timeline view supports a time-block builder interface for adding activities in "chunks" to speed up the schedule creation process. Moreover, Libellus auto-saves your activities on the cloud and synchronizes data across your devices.
## Notifications
Libellus sends reminders as background notifications to keep up with your schedule. These notifications include a countdown timer, visible on lock screens, and paired smartwatches.
## Statistics
Review your daily and weekly time metrics.
## Customization
Tweak the following app settings: notifications, time format, theme, language (English and Spanish only, by now), Timeline grid, custom name in timer for activity gaps, preferred schedule start time, and data management.
