Turn your phone into a powerful, versatile portable scanner! SimpleScan is the perfect solution for quickly digitizing documents, receipts, books, or notes and saving them as high-quality PDF, JPG, or text files directly on your device.
✨ Core Features
Instant Scanning: We use the GMS Document Scanner API for smart edge detection, automatic cropping, and image enhancement filters.
Multiple Output Formats: Save your scans as multi-page PDFs, individual JPG images, or extract text from documents using our OCR feature, which saves the result as a TXT file.
Barcode & QR Scanning: Scan any barcode or QR code. The app saves the data in a dedicated folder containing a content.txt file and a generated image of the scanned barcode. Scanned URLs are saved as .url files that open directly in your browser.
Secure & Local Storage: All your files are stored 100% locally on your device in the dedicated "MyScans" folder, ensuring complete privacy.
⚙️ Advanced PDF Tools
Split PDF: Long-press any PDF and select "Split". You can choose to split every page into a separate PDF file or extract a custom range (e.g., "1-3, 5") into a single new document.
Merge PDF: Select two or more PDF files (a blue border will highlight your selection) and press the "Merge" button in the bottom bar to combine them into one file.
Import PDF: Use the "Import PDF" button in the side menu to add existing PDF files from your phone's storage directly into your "MyScans" library.
🗂️ Full Folder Management
Nested Folders: Organize your scans with a full hierarchical system. Create folders inside other folders, just like on your desktop.
Tree Navigation: Use the side drawer to navigate your folder structure. View "All Files," the main "My Scans (Root)" folder, or tap any sub-folder to open it.
Folder Actions (Long Press): Long-press any folder (in the grid or the side menu) to Rename it, Delete it (along with all its contents), or Archive & Upload the entire folder as a .zip file.
⚡ Quick Access & File Actions
Quick View (Single Tap): A single tap on any file opens the document in our dedicated internal viewer (for PDF, JPG, and TXT).
Quick Share Icons: Easily share documents via email, WhatsApp, or save a copy to Google Drive directly from the main screen.
Full Control (Long Press): For full control, long-press any document card to reveal the actions menu:

Add/Remove from Merge selection
