Kodagu or Coorg is one of the most sought-after destinations by tourists. When one is asked to speak of Coorg, he or she lists out a myriad of things ranging from the luscious greenery, coffee plantations, pork curry and the traditional festivals celebrated by this region.
KODAVAS
Kodava means indigenous people, language or culture. We Kodavas (Kodava, anglicised as Coorgs), are considered a patrilineal ethno-lingual community from the region of Kodagu, in Karnataka state of southern India, who natively speak the Kodava language. Traditionally they are land-owning agriculturists with martial customs. We practice family exogamy and caste endogamy Kodavas are the only people in India permitted to carry firearms without a licence.
KODAVAS APP
JUST KODAVAS is an online social media and social networking service built exclusively for Kodava Community.
JK was founded in 2018 by Kuttanda Sudhin Mandanna, a young and dynamic First-Generation Entrepreneur who hails from Ammathi, Kodagu.
FEATURES
JUST KODAVAS service can be accessed from devices with Internet connectivity, such as personal computers, tablets and smartphones. After registering, users can create a customized profile revealing information about themselves by posting text, instant messages, photos, videos and multimedia which is shared with any other users that have agreed to be their "friend", or, with a different privacy setting, with any reader. Kodava users can also use various embedded apps, join common-interest groups, and receive notifications of their friends' activities etc.
OBJECTIVE
Unlike other social media applications, JUST KODAVAS also features many options exclusively for our Kodava community which almost is like a one stop solution for many needs.
The main objective of this Application is to provide a forum to bring together our KODAVA speaking community those are widely scattered all over the word under one platform and to strengthen the common bonds of our Kodava tradition, culture and way of life including our social, artistic unique talents and to interact without hassle.
