METAR-Powered IAS: Automatically calculates Indicated Airspeed (IAS) using the closest METAR, adjusting for wind to nail pattern work—downwind, base, or final—with pinpoint accuracy. Open Source URL in options, now targets older Android API's and SDK's for those Galaxy Note20 users!
Manual IAS or GPS Fallback: No internet? Punch in IAS via the new numeric picker while flying downwind, or let StallSentry default to GPS ground speed for seamless monitoring.
Uncompromising Safety, Heart-Pounding Alerts
Stalls strike when airspeed dips below your DMMS. StallSentry roars into action with a stall horn WAV and a blazing Skull & Crossbones flashing on-screen. A customizable Text-to-Speech (TTS) voice thunders: “SPEED CHECK, YOU’RE PLUMMETING!”—demanding your focus. Dynamic G-force adjustments fine-tune stall thresholds for every maneuver, keeping you safe in the steepest turns.
Tailored for Pilots, Built for Control
Set your DMMS (e.g., 70 knots) with the slick numeric picker, swapping clunky keyboards for lightning-fast input. The Options Menu lets you:
Tweak alert frequency (default 5s) and TTS messages.
Toggle airport callouts for audible nearest-airport alerts (icaoID, distance, bearing).
Enable/disable Skull & Crossbones or suppress alerts until above DMMS.
Hit PAUSE to silence all activity instantly.
Cockpit-Ready Interface
StallSentry’s UI is pure adrenaline: a SkyGradient (deep blue to light) sets the stage, with a 3D button flashing status—“Monitoring,” “Paused,” or “Set Permissions”—in fiery ActiveGradient (orange-red) or muted PausedGradient (gray). A VerticalStackLayout delivers DMMS, speed (knots), altitude (feet), and closest airport details (icaoID, elevation, distance, heading). Semantic hints like “Start DMMS monitoring” ensure accessibility.

Built on .NET MAUI (Android, SDK 35), StallSentry demands location permissions (fine, background) and foreground service to run non-stop. It loads 47,308 airports from Stations.csv, tracks your position (lat, lon, altitude), and computes headings with precision.
