Area Calculation: Quickly determine the precise area of any polygon feature loaded from your KML/KMZ file.

Length Calculation: Get the accurate length of line strings and polygon perimeters.

Geometry Centroids: Features like lines and polygons are automatically represented by a calculated center point (centroid) with their name, making large features easy to locate.

Direct Loading: Easily open both standard KML and compressed KMZ archive files from any source (Downloads, Drive, email attachments).

Hierarchical View: Navigate your data effortlessly with a clear, collapsible list view that organizes features by Folder, Document, Placemark, Line, and Polygon.

Text Feature Handling: Ensure every feature is identifiable; we extract and display all KML tags.

Custom Text Markers: Unlike standard pins, our markers display the feature's title rendered directly onto the icon.

Intelligent Clustering: Maintain map clarity and performance by automatically grouping dense placemarks using the Google Maps clustering system.

Google Maps Foundation: Built on Google Maps for a familiar, reliable, and high-performance viewing experience.

🧭 Location & Persistence
Quick Location: Tap the location button to instantly center the map on your current GPS location (requires permission). Your live location data is never stored or transmitted.

State Persistence: The app automatically saves your last viewed map position and zoom level, so you always resume your work exactly where you left off.

App Permissions
Field Marker requires the following permissions to provide its core functionality:

Storage/Files & Media (Read): Required to allow you to select and load KML and KMZ files from your device storage or cloud services.

Location (Fine/Coarse Location): Only requested and used when you explicitly tap the "locate me" button. This permission is required to center the map on your current GPS position. Your location data is never stored, recorded, or transmitted outside of your device.
