FS2EFB
Data link between Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020/2024 and EFB apps (ForeFlight, Garmin Pilot, SkyDemon, XCSoar and similar).

0. Install EFB data export toolbar into Microsoft Flight Simulator (available on TouchingCloud website)

1. Select Network Mode:
- ROUTER: Device is connected to a WiFi Router.
- HOTSPOT: Device is creating a WiFi Hotspot.

2. Before start the app, ensure this device and PC/Xbox are on the same network.

3. Once this app started, your local IP will be synced with the server.

4. Start the flight in Microsoft Flight Simulator, press SYNC IP button on cockpit nav tablet or toolbar, ensure your local IP appear in the field. If not, type it manually: " + getRelevantIpAddress() + ":5555

5. Press START button in MSFS.

6. Press the START button in this app, ensure both TCP and WEB servers are OK and incoming aircraft data appear in the log each second.
Some routers may block TCP connections between clients, especially WiFi and LAN, so if no data coming - check router settings.

7. Configure your NMEA client. This app generates PGRMC, GPGGA and LXWP0 data.

In case of XCSoar launched on this device, set TCP client as data source, IP address 127.0.0.1, port 8880, driver LXNAV.
DISABLE LOCAL SENSORS or they will provide false data to the navigation computer
NEVER SEND YOUR FLIGHT DATA TO ONLINE SERVICES which are suppose to be used for real flights, that is not only unethical but may cause penalties, or even legal actions from the service owners.

Additional features:

GPS SPOOF: make your smartphone think that you are flying inside your Microsoft Flight Simulator airplane. To make this feature work, you need to perform additional steps: enable developer mode, set FS2EFB as fake location source, give location permissions (Always as app will work at background). After that you can attach your common nav app (like Google Maps) with MSFS.

SCREEN SHARE: send your screen render to the MSFS toolbar. Once clicked, you need to select which app should be screened. Whole screen share is also supported but not recommended for safety reasons (especially if you are streaming your flight online).

TOUCHSCREEN SIMULATION: advance technique which makes possible to pass clicks on the MSFS toolbar to your smartphone, made special for VR users. It require to add FS2EFB into Accessibility apps list. Please remember that this feature makes your device vulnerable so it should be disabled once your finished your flight. Click on the TOUCH button again and remove FS2EFB from the Accessibility apps list.
