The Android app "Wi-Fi File Transfer" is a mature FTP server that is in a WLAN in professional use since 2009 at seniorlabde and is now offered with user-friendly user interface with Google Play. For safe data exchange with Windows, Apple OS and Linux (Ubuntu) devices is realized between work areas.
A data transmission from the phone or tablet to PC and vice versa is actually easy via USB connection , but not through perfect synchronization software of the manufacturer , there can be problems. You will also need the USB cable. With the German Android App "Wireless File Transfer " and FileZilla on the PC you do not have these problems. The app works as a secure FTP server and installed on the PC to the tried and tested for many years program " FileZilla " . The file transfer (upload and download with FileZilla ) is in a secure Wi-Fi very safe ( see Privacy https://sites.google.com/site/androsecurity/wifi-security---wlan-sicherheit)) !
"Wi-Fi File Transfer " Made in Germany is a must on any smartphone or tablet.
One can very easily transfer files of any size or whole directories in each direction. The rate depends on the transfer rate of the Wi-Fi. For the app " Wi-Fi File Transfer " , a user name and a password is assigned to consisting of upper and lower case letters, number and special character of which must be at least 4 characters long .
The password is stored in encrypted form . If it is forgotten , it must be stored under the "Settings" tab a new one.
