Die HummelMap ist eine Online-Fachplattform zur Meldung von Hummel-Vorkommen in Niedersachsen, Bremen und Hamburg und ist im Rahmen eines Projektes des NABU Niedersachsen entstanden. Neben einer möglichst flächendeckenden Erfassung von Hummeln steht der Schutz der Hummeln dabei im Vordergrund. Die HummelMap mit einer Projektbeschreibung ist unter https://hummelmap.de zu erreichen.
Die App dient als alternatives Werkzeug für die Datenerfassung im Gelände und enthält daher keine weiteren Funktionen der Online-Fachplattform. Durch den vorherigen Download von Offline-Karten ist eine Erfassung ohne Netzanbindung möglich. Die im Mobilgerät gespeicherten Daten werden hochgeladen, sobald wieder ein Netz zur Verfügung steht.
Um diese App zu nutzen, muss zuvor ein Profil auf https://hummelmap.de angelegt werden. Voraussetzung dafür ist der versierte Umgang in der Bestimmung der heimischen Hummelarten. Ein Zugang ist nur über die vorherige Kontaktaufnahme mit dem Expertenforum der HummelMap über ein Antragsformular möglich.
„HummelMap – die Fachplattform zur Meldung von Hummelvorkommen in Niedersachsen“ ist ein von der Niedersächsischen Bingo Umweltstiftung gefördertes Projekt des NABU Landesverband Niedersachsen e.V. (2020 bis 2024) und wurde technisch durch die Software-Firma IP Syscon umgesetzt.
