คำอธิบาย
Instead of opening a browser and searching for “what is my IP” every time you change networks, Ifconfig keeps this information one glance away:
Your public IP address
City, region, and country (approximate location from IP)
ISP / organization
Timezone and other basic metadata
The app is built with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Jetpack Glance for modern, responsive widgets. It uses Ktor for HTTP requests and Kotlinx Serialization to parse responses from multiple IP geolocation services into a single, consistent data model.
Configuration and last known IP/location are stored locally on your device using MMKV. This allows the widget to:
Load instantly with cached data
Keep working briefly even if your connection drops
Avoid unnecessary API calls
There is no login, no analytics SDK, and no ad tracking. IP and location data is fetched from third‑party IP APIs to display in the widget and is cached locally on your device for convenience. The app does not upload your IP history or widget settings to any server controlled by the developer.
If you frequently switch VPNs, networks, or just like to know “where the internet thinks you are,” Ifconfig gives you a clean, privacy‑minded way to see that from your home screen.
