BRAND NEW AND GROWING FAST
MakerRef is a new app, and we're aiming high: we plan to make it the best electronics reference app on the market, one release at a time. New pages, calculators and converters arrive with almost every update, so check back often.
WHAT'S INSIDE
61 reference pages in seven categories:
🔌 PROTOCOLS
I²C, SPI, UART, 1-Wire, CAN, RS-232, RS-485, Parallel and Quad SPI. Each protocol page covers wiring, the frame format with a diagram, common pitfalls and a "2 AM debugging" checklist. Plus a table of common I²C device addresses.
🧰 TOOLS
Live calculators that update as you type and show the formula behind every result, so you can check the math:
• I²C pull-up resistor
• UART baud rate / clock divider
• SPI clock period
• CAN bit timing
• Crystal load capacitor
• Battery pack: size a series/parallel pack for your voltage, current and run time
• Motor power and efficiency
Converters for number systems (binary, octal, decimal, hex and ASCII), torque, linear current density, resistivity, moment of inertia, delta to star and star to delta resistor networks, amps to volt-amps and amps to watts.
🔲 INTEGRATED CIRCUITS
45 chips from the 7400 logic series with pin and function tables, from gates and flip-flops to counters, shift registers, decoders, buffers and arithmetic, plus a guide to logic families and part numbers. Also the 555 timer, TXS0108E level translator, FT232RL USB-to-serial bridge and MCP2515 SPI-to-CAN controller.

✏️ SYMBOLS
Standard drawing symbols for electrical schematics (ANSI and IEC), digital logic, fluid power, P&ID, mechanical drafting (GD&T and welding) and building plans (MEP).

• Works offline: every page is stored on your device, with no account or sign-up
• Search finds pages and the sections inside them, and full part numbers like SN74LS00N land on the right chip
• Tablets and foldables show the list and the page side by side
