Parallel Farm
Unlike traditional field-oriented fertiliser monitoring and management systems that merely concentrate on monitoring and analysing environmental data for fertiliser advice, this is a farmer-oriented precision farming application integrating data from farming activities and environmental information, for delivering an interoperable mobile-cloud system to support intelligent soil health protection, sustainable fertiliser management and intelligent pests/diseases management.

The main features include:

Monitoring daily farming activities and receiving science-based fertiliser recommendation.
Data fusion and visualisation functions to support effective data fusion from multiple farming resources.
Mobile-cloud platform that integrates data sensing, fusion, and analysis for wide decision marking.

Lightweight Pest Quantification Techniques
It integrates new optimised lightweight AI models for rapid and accurate pest quantification running in mobile devices. It is also able to support many smallholder farms located in remote areas, with inconsistent network coverage.

Robust and Effective Pest Quantification Technique
A new board learning data fusion algorithm AI model for effectively fusing hybrid and local activities features with contextual information. The technique can achieve high accuracy and good robustness of pest detection and recognition in nature scenes.

Sustainable Pest Management Solution
The application enables forecasting of accepted threshold of pest and estimation of efficacy of pesticide use after detecting wheat pest. Efficient and sustainable crop protection is of vast economic and ecological significance for food and feed production worldwide.
