Vidar se présente sous la forme d’une application multi-plateformes : une
application mobile et une application web, ce qui la rend théoriquement compatible avec tout type d’appareil numérique. Nous proposons ainsi un service de messagerie instantanée permettant une mise en relation des deux interlocuteurs de manière rapide, simple, sans que les utilisateurs aient à se transmettre d’informations relevant de leur vie privée (numéros de téléphone, compte sur un réseau social, etc.).
Sur le plan pratique, la discussion est simple à établir : il vous suffit de créer un QR-code que votre interlocuteur devra scanner. Cela suppose que ce
dernier possède un smartphone, ce qui est vrai pour la majorité de la population française. Scanner un QR-code est une opération très simple : l’application d’appareil photo d'un smartphone inclut aujourd’hui nativement cette fonction. Dans le cas d’appareil plus ancien ou ne possédant pas d’objectifs, une alternative reste possible en se rendant sur le site web de Vidar et en entrant un code. Dans ce dernier cas, l’opération peut être plus longue et fastidieuse, mais reste la plus rapide possible.
