number of vehicles and chimneys to be monitored and sent for future
adjustment, contributing to the reduction of black smoke emission, ridding the environment of tons of this waste.
The Virtual Ringelmann meets vehicular and stationary surveillance methods. It was developed for industries and transport companies that need to implement the concept of environmental management in the administration and operation of emitters of air pollutants and that wish to be in accordance to municipal, state, national or international environmental legislations, such as the ISO 14001.

It automatically identifies and records the pollution level emitted by the
inspected source through the captured image. This information, along with the

It generates evidence through the photographic image captured during the
inspection process. This image may be sent to the Virtual Ringelmann Website in order to generate a decision-making support report.
Integration
It enables the generation of reports on inspections on the website and the
creation of a history of the inspected vehicle or stationary sources.
Convenience
Using the reports issued by the website, large companies will be able to
maintain a single technician responsible for the analysis of the measurements, who will have no need to leave the premises. Measurements will be more constant, made by untrained people, without the need of specific training, which was necessary with paper scales, bringing more credibility and economy to the inspection process.
