Az Esztergomi Vármúzeum a Magyar Nemzeti Múzeum filiáléjaként Esztergomban, az első Magyar Király szülővárosában található, mely az Árpád házi királyok székesfővárosa, a magyar katolikus egyház feje, a magyar reneszánsz egyik kiemelkedő központja. Esztergom páratlan adottságaival, folyamatosan az európai mozgalmak és a történelmi események fő áramlatainak sodrába került. A város közepén álló Várhegy és az itt található Múzeum különleges kincseket őriz a magyar állam születési helyéről. A Vármúzeumban az elmúlt évek során az egész Palotát átfogó rekonstrukciós munkálatoknak és beruházásoknak köszönhetően felbecsülhetetlen kulturális örökségi értékek kerültek megmentésre és számos, egyedülálló értékű történelmi tér vált bemutathatóvá.
A SZTAKI által fejlesztett ingyenes okos telefonra letölthető alkalmazás a turistánknak segít eligazodni az új, interaktív kiállítótermek és kiállítások között. E virtuális kalauz segítségével innovatív módon barangolható be a magyar középkor, a felhasználó könnyebben eligazodhat az őt érdeklő programok és események között.
