Spielerinnen und Spieler wählen zwischen drei Schwierigkeitsgraden: 4x4 für das klassische 15-Puzzle und schnelle Herausforderungen, 5x5 als erweiterte Variante mit mehr strategischem Anspruch sowie 6x6 für maximale Konzentration. Es stehen zudem zwei Spielmodi zur Verfügung: Im Zahlenmodus wird klassisch mit nummerierten Kacheln gespielt, während im Fotomodus ein eigenes Bild in ein Puzzle verwandelt wird. Dadurch erhält jedes Spiel eine persönliche Note.
Zur optischen Anpassung bietet TileFlow drei optisch klar voneinander abgegrenzte Themes: Der Glasmodus erzeugt einen modernen, transluzenten Frost-Effekt, Neon setzt auf kräftige Farben und leuchtende Akzente, während Mono auf ein kontrastreiches, reduziertes Graustufen-Design setzt. Je nach Vorliebe entsteht ein minimalistisches oder auffällig visuelles Spielerlebnis.
Während des Spiels sorgen sanfte Animationen und eine intuitive Bedienung dafür, dass der Spielfluss im Mittelpunkt steht. Jede gelöste Partie wird mit Zeit, Zuganzahl, Datum und gewählter Spielfeldgröße in einer persönlichen Rangliste gespeichert. Die beste Leistung kann so jederzeit nachvollzogen werden, und der zuletzt erreichte Eintrag wird zur besseren Orientierung hervorgehoben.
Wer Abwechslung sucht, kann den optionalen Fotopuzzle-Modus nutzen: Ein Bild aus der eigenen Galerie wird automatisch in Kacheln zerlegt und spielbar gemacht. Dadurch entstehen immer neue Herausforderungen mit individuellen Motiven.
TileFlow ist vollständig offline nutzbar, erfordert keine Registrierung und verwendet keine Tracking-, Analyse- oder Cloud-Dienste. Sämtliche Spielstände, Einstellungen und Highscores verbleiben lokal auf dem Gerät.
