Description
Anubis Graph Quest offers a unique puzzle experience set on a connected graph where each node may contain one artifact or be empty, known as a Shaft. Your objective is to strategically move artifacts by dragging from one node to an adjacent free node or by performing a Local Roll a special move allowing an artifact to jump across one or two empty nodes, enhancing tactical depth.
A long press reveals reachable nodes within N steps, aiding your planning as before. The game introduces a new gesture: double tap on a piece followed by a swipe along an edge to execute a quick Local Roll, replacing the slower drag motion for faster gameplay.
New gameplay elements enrich the challenge. Local Roll lets your piece jump over consecutive empty nodes up to a max length capped by difficulty, with no penalty but reducing the number of available undos on some levels. The Ra-Teleport is a single-use teleport per level appearing as a icon in the UI, which can help in tough spots but costs a star or adds a time penalty. Sliding Shafts are dynamic empty nodes that shift position automatically at the end of moves on levels S4 to S5, requiring adaptive strategies.
The familiar Undo and Redo functions remain, subject to difficulty restrictions. Hints are improved; "Show Next Move" can now suggest a Local Roll if it leads to a better outcome, while "Show Goal" helps keep your objective clear.
Feedback is immediate and immersive: invalid moves trigger a brief red flash and error haptic, correct moves reward with a white trail and light haptic, and victories are celebrated with a golden flash from the center disk lasting under half a second.
