Alban n’est plus petit, sans pour être autant bien grand, et son monde moyen lui convient bien. Mais voilà : la ligne d’horizon le nargue… Alors un jour, Alban part. D’attentes, en déceptions, en découvertes, Alban découvre ce que c’est que grandir.
« Renversant » a la fausse simplicité de la poésie, avec :
- un texte entraînant, tout en rimes et en rythme
- une réflexion en passant sur les notions de « grand » et de « petit »
- de superbes illustrations en gravures sur bois à trois tons
- un univers aux couleurs sobres et profondes
- des manipulations qui font participer l’enfant à la construction du sens
- un petit jeu de mémoire qui reprend les éléments de l’histoire
Le premier album d’Alice Brière-Haquet et Olivier Philipponneau, « Le Ballon de Zébulon », sorti en 2010 aux éditions Auzou a été nominé pour plusieurs prix littéraire. Un second livre, intitulé « Perdu ! », est prévu pour 2011 aux éditions MeMo.
