AI coding agents like Claude Code and Codex CLI are changing how software gets built. They run autonomously in terminal sessions — writing code, running tests, iterating on bugs — often for minutes or hours at a time. But when an agent needs approval, hits an error, or finishes a task, you shouldn't have to be at your desk.
AgenTTY is a GPU-accelerated SSH terminal for iPhone, specifically tested and refined for the best possible experience running agentic coding tools. Every layer — from terminal rendering to keyboard input to tmux session management — has been tuned for compatibility and fluidity with AI agent workflows.
PURPOSE-BUILT FOR AGENTS
AgenTTY's tmux integration is designed around multi-agent workflows. Run several agents in parallel, each in its own shell. Swipe between them. AI-generated shell titles describe what each agent is actually working on — not "claude" or "codex", but the task itself. A live indicator strip shows each shell's working directory and git branch. Long-press the spacebar for a quick switcher showing all your sessions at a glance.
STAY CONNECTED, STAY UNBLOCKED
Agents keep running when you disconnect — tmux-resurrect is installed automatically and preserves your sessions across reboots. Auto-reconnect with exponential backoff means you're always one tap from re-attaching. Push notifications let your server reach back when an agent needs attention. The Claude Code runtime environment is automatically sanitized on reconnect so agent sessions start clean every time.
A REAL TERMINAL ON YOUR PHONE
Powered by Ghostty's Metal renderer at up to 120 FPS with ProMotion support. Fast-moving agent output is batched intelligently so the terminal stays smooth even during heavy code generation. 21 curated themes apply instantly to the terminal, keyboard, and all chrome. Focus events and synthetic refresh pulses keep terminal apps perfectly in sync — vim, neovim, and agent TUIs update their colors and state the moment you return to the app.
A KEYBOARD DESIGNED FOR TERMINAL WORK
No system keyboard compromises. Escape, Ctrl, Alt, Tab, and a directional pad are always one tap away. Hold a modifier and slide across any key to fire chords like Ctrl+C to interrupt an agent or Ctrl+D to signal completion. Readline shortcuts are on by default — Alt+arrows for word navigation, Ctrl+A/E for line start/end. Voice dictation with AI transcription for when typing a prompt is easier said than done.
SECURITY YOU CAN VERIFY
Generate Ed25519 keys on-device. Private keys live in the iOS Keychain — never backed up, never leaving your device. Trust-on-first-use host-key validation pins server fingerprints and rejects mismatches. Public-key authentication only.
