eLEARN platform 1.0 is an e-learning platform built using computer-mediated reality technology. This platform contains 15 Chinese language lesson modules for primary 4 to 6 students. In accordance with the Hong Kong Chinese language curriculum guidelines and learning objectives, these e-learning resources for local students between 9 and 12 years of age have been prepared with the aim to enhance student learning motivation and interest.
This platform was developed through the eLEARN Project (Enhancing Language Education with Artificial Reality Neo-platform (eLEARN)), which was funded by the Quality Education Fund and organised by the University of Hong Kong. In addition to developing a computer-mediated reality learning platform, eLEARN aimed to provide professional training for participating Chinese language teachers, as well as conduct research to contribute to the understanding the impact of computer-mediated reality on education.
