Die App unterstützt dich bei der Vorbereitung auf den praktischen Teil der Prüfung zum „Beschränkt gültigen Sprechfunkzeugnis für den Flugfunkdienst“ (BZF). Doch auch bereits ausgebildete Flieger*innen und andere Interessierte können mit dem Flugfunktrainer ihre Kenntnisse im VFR-Flugfunk auffrischen und festigen.

Dazu können Benutzer*innen An- und Abflüge an mehreren deutschen und österreichischen Verkehrsflughäfen simulieren. Der Funkverkehr findet dabei wahlweise auf Deutsch oder auf Englisch statt. Das Interface des Simulators ist sehr einfach gestaltet: Eine laute Aussprache ist nicht erforderlich! Auf die von der App ausgesprochenen Funksprüche antwortet man, indem vorgefertigte Nachrichtenbausteine zur korrekten Sendung zusammengesetzt werden. Mit Kopfhörern kannst du also zum Beispiel auch problemlos im Zug oder an anderen öffentlichen Orten üben. Ein Headset wird nicht benötigt. Wer möchte, darf natürlich die Funksprüche laut aussprechen, bevor sie in die App eingegeben werden. So können die Protokolle noch schneller verinnerlicht werden.

Eine Simulation von Funknavigationsverfahren ist ebenfalls im Flugfunktrainer enthalten. Simuliert werden können sowohl Verfahren im Zusammenhang mit ungerichteten Funkfeuern (NDB) als auch mit Drehfunkfeuern (VOR). Fünf Nachbildungen verschiedener Navigationsinstrumente stehen dazu zur Verfügung.

Auch bei der Vorbereitung auf die theoretische Prüfung hilft der Flugfunktrainer. Der integrierte Theorie-Trainer beinhaltet die von der Bundesnetzagentur* (BNetzA) veröffentlichten Fragen für die deutschen Sprechfunkzeugnisse BZF I und BZF II, BZF E, sowie AZF. Falsch beantwortete Fragen können gesondert wiederholt werden und auch eine Prüfungssimulation mit zufälligen Fragen und einer Zeitbegrenzung ist möglich!

Darüber hinaus hilft die App beim Aufbau eines Wortschatzes zur Kommunikation in Luftfahrtenglisch. Dazu steht ein Vokabeltrainer zur Verfügung, der über 100 luftfahrtrelevante Begriffe umfasst. Hast du noch Probleme mit dem Buchstabieren? Mit dem Flugfunktrainer kannst du auch das Buchstabieralphabet lernen! Die App verfügt dazu über ein eigenes Quiz.
