Geogsmart aims to make learning and practicing geography skills more fun, rewarding, and engaging with XP and mastery, a store to buy new app icons, leaderboards to conquer, and badges to collect!
- Geogsmart has over 1000 questions for you to answer, spanning over all 6 populated continents and AP® Human Geography*, so you can use Geogsmart to study or just for fun!
- Gain mastery in subtopics as you answer more questions to keep track of your progress, and level up each topic to earn more badges.
- Collect over 27 unique badges by completing certain tasks, and discover 16 special edition badges by logging in on certain important days! Share your new unlocks with friends.
- Collect globes to spend on power ups and unique new icons to change up the app's look.
- Connect to Game Center to sync app data across devices and have access to the in-game leaderboard!
- Contribute to Geogsmart by creating your own questions to be added in the next update for a chance to be featured on the website and social media!

--- ABOUT ME ---
Hello, world! I am Ajay Gandecha, a high school junior in North Carolina, and I am the creator of Geogsmart.
From a young age, I have always been fascinated by the code behind mobile apps, and throughout middle school, I taught myself how to code so I could create my very own apps.
According to the United States Government Accountability Office, only 27% of 8th graders were proficient in geography in 2014, and 73% of students were below proficient.
Part of the reason that the majority of 8th graders are below proficient in geography skills is because it is not a major part of the social studies curriculum, and it seems boring to many people. I concluded that people did not want to learn about geography because there was no fun and engaging way to do it.
Geogsmart aims to make learning and practicing geography skills more fun, rewarding, and engaging with XP and mastery, a store to buy new app icons, leaderboards to conquer, and badges to collect!
I hope to inspire other young people in learning how to code to solve everyday problems in our world, and I will be sharing my journey with Geogsmart on the Geogsmart developer blog.
