• Verkefnin í leiknum aðlaga sig að getu spilarans.
• Hægt er að vinna verðlaun og safna sér fyrir fatnaði og verkfærum handa karakter þínum í leiknum.
• Spilarar ferðast í gegnum ævintýrakort og finna sér nýja leiki til að þjálfa sig.
• Leikurinn uppfyllir ströngustu kröfur GDPR löggjafar ES og persónuverndarlöggjafar á Íslandi og er engum gögnum safnað né deilt um spilara.
Spilari býr til sinn eigin karakter og fer í ferðalag í gegnum mismunandi borð af æfingum. Í ferðalaginu verður karakterinn flottari og meira eins og spilarinn byggir hann upp á sama tíma og spilarinn verður betri í æfingunum. Spilarar læra eiginleika og hljóðun stafa, bæði sérhljóða og samhljóða, atkvæði og að lokum hvernig hljóðin eru tengd saman í orð. Hægt er að spila leikinn hvar sem er, heima eða í skólanum.
Mælt er með því að spila í um fimmtán mínútur í senn og hafa rannsóknir bæði á Íslandi og erlendis á notkun leiksins sýnt að þá munu flest börn stórbæta færni sína í að þekkja stafi, framburði, lestrarfærni. Notkun á leiknum hefur einnig leitt til aukins sjálfstrausts gagnvart læsisnámi barna samkvæmt erlendum rannsóknum.
GraphoGame er rannsóknarverkefni sem er unnið í samstarfi með Jyväskylä háskólanum í Finnlandi.

GraphoGame lestrarleikur is a fun and adaptive learning tool that helps children learn the basics of reading! The game helps children practice letters, syllables, words and their sounds in this child-friendly educational game.

Through a variety of levels with your own unique player character, children feel engaged while they are developing alongside their graphical avatar. Players learn the graphemes and phonemes of vowels, consonants and syllables and eventually learn how to blend what they have mastered into complete words. Play at home or in school.
By playing at least 15 minutes regularly, the child will improve their letter knowledge, pronunciation, reading speed and overall confidence in Icelandic phonology.
GraphoGame has been researched in collaboration with the University of Jyväskylä, Finland.
