Popis
LIA first assesses a child's skills prior to beginning the main program. Once LIA determines that a child can follow basic verbal instructions and has the motor skills to trace, then the child can move forward with the program. LIA also provides immediate feedback to children in real time, modifies the sequence after each lesson based on the child's performance, and systematically reduces instructions as the child progress. This means that an error is immediately corrected or a correct answer receives positive reinforcement, letter reviews will be generated for letters a child needs more time on, and instructions that were originally more detailed are reduced to more general wording as the child becomes more familiar with the app and letters.
LIA also presents the letters in a letter order that maximizes children's learning about letter parts, and minimizes confusion between letters. This sequence is derived from a successful and research-validated reading program. When children complete LIA, they will have a solid foundation for successfully participating in a wide range of reading and writing activities at the Kindergarten and 1st grade levels!
