Popis
AllyCast uses a wireless network to access the audio description. Please ensure that you are connected to the correct network. If you have problems connecting to the service, please contact the venue staff.
For the user
Open the application, find a list of available services and open the one you would like to follow. Once the service is connected, click the button to play the audio.
Usually you will find only one service listed as commonly only one audiodescription service is provided.
If you do not find the right service or any service at all, make sure you are connected to the right wireless network.
For the professional
In order to offer audio description to your audience using A11yCast you will require a server part. This will take your live audio or pre recorded sound files and distribute it over a wireless network to your guests.
Please visit https://www.accessibilitydays.it to obtain the server side.
We recommend providing a dedicated wireless network to distribute audio description. While the data for audio transmission is moderate, other traffic over a public network may influence the experience.
An internet connection is not required. Also, transmitting the audio via the internet via this system is not supported. Contact us for information about a combined solution.
For the venue
If you search for solutions to provide audio description and/or language translation at your venue and would like to avoid the logistical challenges of providing specialised devices, A11yCast is the right solution for you.
