The Filmed in Cherokee App is a film buff’s one way ticket to filming locations in Cherokee County.
Explore key locations for filming in Cherokee, with photos, film facts, and behind the scenes stories highlighting the relationships between the Georgia Film Production Industry and one of Georgia’s most frequently scouted Camera Ready Communities.
The Why Cherokee section tells you a bit about the plot and how the Cherokee location selected for the film project was utilized in the film. (No spoilers—we promise.)
Behind the Scenes gives the user insight into the relationship between the community and the film industry—learn about Tom Cruise’s friendship with a local restauranteur, Jason Bateman’s love for baseball and how Timothy Busfield encouraged local high school film students while visiting on set.

Might we suggest taking in views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from idyllic Salacoa Valley, skeet shooting at Lewallen Farms in Waleska, kayaking down the beautiful Etowah River, boating on Lake Allatoona, and mountain biking at SORBA’s Blankets Creek, all while taking in some of Cherokee’s most beautiful topographical features and film locations.
