Open Street Maps is an open-source community-supported 'Speed Limits ADVISORY' API.
You can join OSM.org and do your own local speed limit updates.
Just go to the link on the Settings page; sign up and start updating.

SPEED CAMERA CLUB
~ One quick tap of the 'Traffic Report' button instantly sends the GPS location of the unmarked Speed CamVan - that you've just spotted - to be uploaded to the SCC database.
~ SCC Traffic Reports then stay live for 8 hours in the database, warning all other members - with a 500m warning radius - approaching the proximity.
~ SCC Red-Light Speed Camera Reports stay live on the database for 12 mths.
~ Go through to MapView, tap the 'snapshot' link at the bottom of the page, & instantly upload it to Facebook or Insta.
~ Single Tap the Speed Limit Circle to Mute Audio Alerts for 30 seconds.
Tap again to re-enable.
~ Double Tap the Speed Limit Circle for full-time MUTE.
Tap again to re-enable.
Key Benefits - UX:
~ App opens in Dashboard mode to see your current GPS speed against the current location OSM road speed limit.
~ Mute Audio Alerts - 1 tap on the BOTTOM Circle for 30 secs Mute; 2 taps for Full Mute
~ GPS strength meter - check status plus,
~ Tap the GPS icon to RESET/REFRESH GPS - sometimes the app will pick up a side street - so just tap the GPS icon to reset the app to find the correct speed limit.

- Set the High-Level to about +6 or +7;
- Set repeat warning to about every 5 seconds.
