Orbit: Field Scout for Farming is a satellite-backed mobile application providing field monitoring service and efficient field scouting tools for smart farming. It allows users to observe crop health and to execute efficient scouting with field monitoring reports. Meanwhile, it alerts users of weather events and plant disease risks. Orbit: Field Scout for Farming supports digitalization in agriculture and its users will enjoy achieving their yield and crop quality goals via informed decisions. To achieve that, Orbit: Field Scout for Farming utilizes a variety of agriculture technologies including satellite agriculture and smart farming techniques.

Orbit: Field Scout for Farming can be used in agriculture by farmers, agri-food players (FMCG companies procuring crops for food processing), agri-input players (seed, crop protection, and fertilizer companies), and public institutions.

Throughout the growing season, Orbit: Field Scout for Farming provides;
• Field monitoring to observe crop health and growth progress with daily high-resolution Planet or medium-resolution Sentinel satellite images,
• Problem identification in low-performing zones (may be caused by plant diseases, unwanted weeds, moisture deficiencies, etc.),
• Tracking remedial and protective activities’ results by observing changes of the crop health in the field maps of Sentinel or Planet satellite images for smart farming, NDVI index maps
• Irrigation schedule where you get irrigation recommendations to not use more water than you need when you irrigate your field,
• Monitoring water stress level in your field with our Moisture Map,
• Comparing the biomass of two fields where the same crop is grown and viewing crop growth and yield potential,
• Evaluating crop health and comparing field performance according to biomass changes with Sentinel or Planet satellite images,
• Taking photos and location included notes from inside or outside of the field for advanced scouting experience in addition to field monitoring service
• You can mark problematic spots with Scouting Notes, visit whenever you want, and share with your agronomists. Notes, photos, and tags can be added as well. You are able to make yield predictions at critical stages of phenological development and follow crop field performance during the season to take early actions with distribution graphs showing the biomass density in the field. In sum, a manageable farming system with ease.

• As well as the daily and hourly weather forecasts, you can track where rain, snow, and storms are headed and whether you will be affected by the Live Rain and Storm Tracking Map,
• Orbit alerts you in advance for weather events heading to your field with push notifications,
• Monitor the health of your crops day-to-day with high-resolution satellite data and compare them with historical images for plant growth track,
• You can easily identify problematic spots where growth problems are occurred due to crop diseases, irrigation channel problems, nutrition deficiencies, and more by observing the color changes in the maps of your field. You can take precautions and manage your agricultural activities efficiently,
• Checking forecasts with hourly and daily weather reports for more efficient field scouting and ensuring the smart farming system in agriculture,
• Getting field-based push-notifications of weather events, soil status, and plant disease risks,
