Shared Lists: Collaborate Seamlessly
Some tasks aren’t meant to be tackled alone. With Shared Lists, you can collaborate with teammates, classmates, family members, or anyone who needs to be in the loop. Assign tasks, track progress, and keep everyone on the same page—all within Stuff’s clean and intuitive interface.
The Adventure Log: See Your Progress Over Time
Every completed task tells a story, and with the Adventure Log, you can look back at everything you’ve accomplished. Filter by tag, space, or item type to see exactly what was done and when. Whether tracking work projects, study sessions, or personal growth, the Adventure Log helps you reflect on progress and stay motivated.
The Today Card: Stay Focused, No Matter Where You Are
Your most important tasks should always be front and center. The Today Card gives doers a snapshot of the day’s top priorities, no matter where they are in the app. With a quick tap, you can check your highest-priority tasks, see how much is left to do, and even glance at your Daily Note. Even if you’re bouncing between lists and organizing your week, the Today Card ensures that what matters most stays in view.
Plan Ahead or Save for Later
Sometimes, tasks don’t need to be done today—but they still matter. Stuff makes planning easy with Someday Tasks, allowing doers to set things aside without forgetting them. Assign a Deadline to separate when you plan to do something from when it has to be done. And for routine actions, repeating tasks keep everything on track automatically.

Stay on top of your tasks without even opening the app. Home screen widgets let doers see their lists instantly, making it easy to check off tasks, review deadlines, and stay on track throughout the day.

Meet the Developer
Stuff was built by me, Austin—an indie developer and a one-person team. I’ve always been passionate about productivity, but after trying countless apps, I couldn’t find one that truly fit my needs. I wanted something that combined a simple, beautiful interface with powerful features like Dependencies and repeating lists. So, I taught myself to code and started building Stuff—the to-do list of my dreams.

- In addition to just using Scan Mode to take a picture of tasks to add, you can now also import an image from your Photo Library, or share an image into Stuff from a different app. Stuff will automatically scan the image and add the found tasks, even without ever opening the app!
## Smaller Features
- App launch time is now sped up by 7x
- Natural Language Processing
- Editing the names of tasks from Listen or Scan Mode now responds to Natural Language inputs
- You can now type “Inbox” to automatically assign an item to the Inbox.
- Tapping return when adding a new List or Space will automatically add it and dismiss the sheet
- New keyboard commands on iPad include triggering Quick Actions, Sorting a list, and Adding a Heading
- In addition to only Tasks… Headings, Lists, and Spaces are all now findable through Spotlight search from anywhere on your device

- New, cleaner designs for all Chipcards (setting Plan, Deadline, Tags, etc.) (p.s., this is a Mac-forward-looking update, and prepares us for the Mac version of Stuff)
- Align Collection rows to other List and Space Rows
- A new design for showing Times on Tasks that looks cleaner
- Tag filters on lists are now green to match the style of Tags themselves

- Searching through lots and lots of tasks is much more performant now
## Blips
- Fixed a blip with repeating on the first day of the month every year
- Fixed a blip that would sometimes give an error message when attempting to delete an account that would prevent account deletion
- Fixed a blip where attempting to add tasks directly into a heading wasn’t working as expected
- Fixed a blip where tapping + from a widget wouldn’t always assign the correct settings to the new tasks
- Fixed a blip where notifications for tasks may still show up even though the task was already completed
- Fixed a blip where there may be a discrepancy between tag filtering in widgets vs. in the app
- Fixed some blips around the Immediate clearing setting. Should be much more reliable now.
- Fixed a blip on iPad where you couldn’t always click to a new view right away if a modal was just dismissed
- Fixed a blip where signing into an existing account, after having already used Stuff without an account, would just take you back to the launch page rather than showing you your tasks
- Fixed a blip with editing task metadata in the Archive
- Solidified some of the logic behind only repeating tasks if their previous task is complete
